Polypropylene (PP) is a widely used thermoplastic polymer, produced through the polymerisation of propylene, a byproduct of petroleum and natural gas refining. Known for its versatility, strength, and chemical resistance, polypropylene finds applications across numerous industries, including packaging, automotive, textiles, healthcare, and consumer goods. It is lightweight, durable, and cost-effective, making it a popular choice for both everyday products and specialised industrial uses.
Polypropylene is also valued for its recyclability, contributing to growing sustainability efforts in the plastic industry. With increasing global demand driven by industrial growth and innovation, polypropylene continues to play a vital role in shaping various sectors. Its adaptability and environmental potential ensure its continued relevance in the evolving materials landscape.
